Talk openly with your child: Don’t shy away. If you don’t communicate with them society will. However, they will not have your child’s best interest at heart.
Become computer literate: Remember your child probably knows more about the internet, chat rooms and your computer. Stay ahead of the game!
Review your child’s computer activity: If your unsure how too, ask a friend or co-worker or another knowledgeable person. In addition, there are many sites that youth frequent today that have the ability to be destruction. Both MYSPACE.COM and YOUTUBE in particular. If your child has an account with either, monitor them frequently. See the things they are exposing about themselves and are being exposed too. Any pornography or sexual communication should be a warning sign.
Listen to your child: Give them a safe place to be open, ask questions and share their concerns.

    Parents remember too:
  • Educate yourself
  • TALK
  • LISTEN and be actively involved in your child’s life.

  • Your child my indicate that they “hate” you sticking your nose into their business but in the depth of their heart they are loving you for it!

    Most importantly PRAY!

God , as a parent grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Show me how to protect and educate myself and my child from the dark world of pornography. AMEN!
